Billy Joel Might Sweat These Hassiles [sic]
If you're a fan of Billy Joel's heavy metal duo Attila like I am (see earlier post entitled "Billy Joel Sweats Southeast Asia") then you've probably got a copy of the budget, bootleg cd edition of the Attila album, that also claims to contain tracks by Billy's pre-Attila '60s psych-pop act, The Hassles. Anyone with an E.A.R. can tell they're not. For one thing, they sound like they're from the '80s. Instead, these "bonus" tracks probably having nothing to do with Billy Joel at all. Except maybe, they are by some latter, sans-Joel Hassles reunion? I dunno. But here's some thoughts on the matter, found elsewhere on the world wide web, for those who are curious about this curiosity that makes a curio even curiouser: http://www.geocities.com/amplifier_fire/mystery.html

Hey, you climbed back up on the blogging horse!
Wait . . . you mean the stuff that sounds like bad German new wave isn't Billy being ahead of his time???
OMG
My world view is shattered . . .
On the other hand, Attila f'in' ROCKS, I don't care what my friend Greg says. I even went so far as to track down a copy of the original LP on Epic.
Hey LB, ha you found something on my long neglected blog to comment upon! Sorry to shake your long-held belief that Billy Joel invented new wave as well as heavy metal... but in any case we can all agree, Attila rules.
